Hello hello.
So we were going to stay in Paramus, NJ - about 20-40 minues away from NYC, NY…..for a few days. However, Danny boy (that darm hurricane monster thing) is raining on our parade! We decided that Toronto (i.e. etobicoke and brampton) would be a heck of a lot better - plus we need to get ready for school, y’all!
So 8:39 am, and we are going to go have our complimentary breakfast (ye yeee) and then head off to toronto! yayyyyyyyyyyyyy..
I find getting home just as thrilling as lifting off or starting the journey..

so i suppose there is a saying
that goes with road trips.. “you travel as long as the road goes, or until the money runs out”
dude…
totally out of money
we have enough to stay in a cheap hotel outside of NJ..
we were going to Maine, and then decided to stop in a village, and ended up looking at a map at this small hotel, and noticed that Maine is about 6 hours away, and New York City is 1.5 hours away..errr..
UTURNNnnnnn…. or as Nav says, “side turn”
:) We will be home early, and then back to work to not have empty pockets :P
so currently in NJ. Ye yeee..

Hey y’all!
We are watching Sita Sings the Blues
look it up, it’s free - it’s on Ananthy’s computer, otherwise i’d link you…
anyways it is AWESOME to have Nav around, because he studied Ramayana (or Ramayan) because he tells us the meaning of certain jokes, of each name, of back stories of each divine character in the stories, and parts that are missing or overlooked, it is amazing how much he knows..
I sort of wish I could record him, and have him as one of the narrators in the animation - or that you all were watching it with him, y’all would have so much clarity. ^.^
- Aarthy *in love* with her Navpreet. (sorry I am a very mushy person, and I try try try to keep it to myself, but sometimes this love that I am so very lucky to have spills out).
P.S. Mom ji and Papa ji, you taught him very well! I love him more because he has you two and my brother Champ. :)
not the best photo….
but a seahorse at Shedd Aquarium in Chicago. Nav’s first time at an aquarium, we spent 3 hours there….it was fascinating. It was interesting how they saved certain animals from certain death (i.e. they would not survive in the ocean due to human mistreatment or other animal attacks), and also sad to see some born and raised in captivity - almost as if they would never know what vastness is out there in the ocean that is their true home. I can’t be the judge of their psychological state, but as a person who would hate if I was forcefully ignorant to what is out there, I would be sad knowing I missed much.
Y’know?
Tyler Knott’s Prayer flags.
Chicago is interesting, very different from where we have stayed (i.e. expeennnnnsssiiiiveeee), and there are a few things to do…today we are going to be doing many of those things - check out the beach, the river, observatory deck, supposedly there is a Harry Potter exhibition? hahaha we’ll see if we can get in…etc.
